Venn diagrams

     One useful way of understanding the relations between sets is by using Venn diagrams. In a Venn diagram, sets are represented by points on a page. Points inside a certain region denote elements in a set. The following Venn diagram represents various relations among sets. Move the mouse over the selections in the table below and the corresponding region of the Venn diagram will be illuminated in cyan.
